Thousands of protesters in Medellín took to the streets against the Tributary Reform and neoliberal policy in Colombia, which would establish new taxes on basic goods and services and cripple the middle and lower classes. After police began attacking demonstrators, clashes began with looting becoming widespread later in the day.
Dozens of protesters in Concepción took to the streets to demand the abolition of police in Chile and the release of all political prisoners of the social uprising that began in 2019.
