Thousands of protesters in the city of Armenia took to the streets in opposition to neoliberal policy and the Tributary Reform in Colombia, which would impose new taxes on basic goods and services including bills for utilities, as well as cutting government aid to low-income workers and households.
Hundreds of German anarchists protested in Leipzig on 13.12, the famous numeric version of ACAB, against police, naming them as fascists in uniform. Riot police quickly gathered and cracked down on the protest, arresting at least a dozen before the rest dispersed.
The Anarchist Political Organization in Athens protested outside of Parliament in Syntagma Square in solidarity with former 17 November member Dimitris Koufontinas, who entered a hunger strike on the 8th of January to demand a transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens, which would enable him to see visitors and receive adequate medical care. Police arrived at the scene in riot gear, detaining and later releasing everyone.
Protesters took to the streets after the murder of Jonathan Price in Wolfe City, Texas by a police officer. During the protest, the decision came to arrest the killer cop as to avoid a situation like what happened in Louisville with Breonna Taylor. About 250 protesters took part in the march, which lasted for about 45 minutes.
Hundreds of protesters in Osorno took to the streets on International Women’s Day against the government’s incompetence in stopping femicides as well as to demand safe and free abortions in all of Chile.
