Around 4000 people arrived in Lumako for the Eluwün (funeral) of Mapuche chief Pablo Marchant, killed by police during clashes at the site of an attack on deforestation equipment by insurgents seeking to reclaim land belonging to the indigenous people of Chile.

Hundreds of students gathered at the Propylaea in Athens to demand the repeal of a law recently passed by the Ministry of Education which reintroduced police to universities for the first time since 1975, after which dozens were arrested at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki during a student occupation of the rector’s office.
Around 600 protesters in Patras marched to demand the repeal of a law passed by the Ministry of Education in Greece which would bring police back to universities for the first extended period since the fall of the military dictatorship following a disastrous war and student uprising in 1973-1974.
Protesters in Stockholm gathered outside of the Greek Embassy in Sweden in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike, demanding the government accept his requests to be returned to the Korydallos prison before he dies of malnourishment.
Around 120 protesters in New York City marched to demand the abolition of ICE on the anniversary of the agency’s murder of Erick Diaz-Cruz, who was unarmed and shot in the face through his hand. Demonstrators crossed the Brooklyn Bridge to the New York State Attorney General’s office, where condemnations of the murder were given by speakers.
