Clashes in Tourcoing occurred for a 2nd day after a police operation resulted in the seizure of several motorcycles used for urban derbies by young adults in the French city. Fireworks and tear gas were exchanged throughout the night as demonstrators engaged in running battles with police who kept a constant pursuit.

Thousands of farmers continued to gather at Ica, burning barricades in the Panamerican highway and effectively shutting down most travel in Peru.
