DHS Police and ICE agents cracked down on an Abolish ICE protest in Portland but making dozens of mistakes in the process. Several (estimated 3) tear gas canisters went off inside a DHS agent’s backpack, and many police accidentally hit each other while opening fire on the crowd with pepper balls and rubber bullets. About 50 people attended the protest.
Hundreds of protesters at various sites across Santiago took to the streets on the anniversary of the founding of the Carabineros, Chile’s national police organization, demanding its immediate disbandment. Demonstrators set barricades on fire and blocked roads, clashing with Carabineros who arrived to clear them.
The Million MAGA March was a Trump-supporting demonstration in Washington D.C. that attracted 15,000 people, including several white supremacist and far-right groups. Although vastly outnumbered, antifascists provided significant resistance, clashing throughout the night. 3 people were stabbed by Proud Boys-affiliated groups, and dozens of injuries occurred on both sides.

Demonstrators carried a banner reading “Chess and checkmate to the regime!” and blocked several roads before dispersing peacefully.
