Dozens of protesters took to the streets of Elizabeth City for a 4th consecutive day, demanding justice for the police murder of Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man shot in the back of the head several times by officers with assault rifles. Roads were blocked by demonstrators in order to continue pressure to release the body cameras.
Riots broke out in the Kasserine province city of Sbeitla, following the death of a protester of injuries sustained when a police officer shot at his head with a tear gas canister. Demonstrators set the police station on fire and launched firecrackers at police, demanding justice for their murdered comrade-in-arms.
Riot police in the city of Concepción brutally cracked down on protesters who gathered after the police murder of a street artist in Panguipulli for failing to present his ID. Water cannons and tear gas were deployed as well as a contingent of Carabineros on foot, who made brutal arrests and assaults of protesters.
