Clashes occurred between insurgents and Chilean government forces across the indigenous region of Araucania after the killing of Mapuche chief Pablo Marchant, in a fight with police during a sabotage operation against deforestation equipment in the town of Carahue.
Protesters in Peru turned out to protest in La Molina and Los Olivos, marching in the hundreds against the Merino administration that ousted Vizcarra. Demonstrators in Lima also turned out in the thousands in front of Parliament to denounce what is seen as a coup, clashing with police, with dozens if not hundreds of injuries occurring.
Hundreds of protesters in Santiago gathered for a round of demonstrations in support of Mapuche & anarchist political prisoners of the social war in Chile. Police attacked the demonstration with water cannons, making mass arrests of participants while other demonstrators threw rocks at their vehicles.
