Hundreds of protesters in Santiago returned to the streets to demand the resignation of right-wing president Sebastian Piñera and the release of all political prisoners of the social uprising that began in 2019. Demonstrators managed to occupy and burn one police vehicle, forcing out police from the area despite heavy repression continuing near Plaza Dignidad.
Antifascists marched against fascism in St. Paul, the capital of Minnesota, in protest of weekly pro-Trump events occurring at the Capitol. The Proud Boys did not end up arriving, and the march against fascism ended without confrontations occurring, despite a weak standoff happening during the event.
Protesters in Santiago placed barricades along the memorial of Villa Francia on Curacaví street, demanding the end of state terror against the Mapuche communities of Chile by Carabineros, following an incident in which the 7-year-old daughter of the murdered activist Camilo Catrillanca was violently arrested by police.
