A demonstration took place on the night of October 10th to demonstrate against the police of the city and with an ultimate aim of defunding, if not abolishing, the police. Protesters dressed in black bloc as to not get targeted by police, and no major clashes occurred during the march.
Hundreds of protesters in Sudan took to the streets on the anniversary of the end of the Khartoum Massacre in 2019, in which police and the military killed over 128 protesters and injured thousands during a sit-in at the nation’s capital. On the anniversary, demonstrators lit tires and blocked roads to demand the fulfillment of concessions demanded from the new government.
Thousands of Albanian protesters returned to the streets for a 6th day following the police murder of 25-year-old Klodian Rasha for buying cigarettes past curfew. Demonstrators lit cars on fire and threw Molotovs at police who deployed tear gas, flashbang grenades, and water cannons in response. At least 20 arrests were made.
More than 1,000 protesters gathered in West Philadelphia for a protest, which, after clashes with police, quickly devolved into a riot, with teams of people looting Walmarts and the stores of other large corporations. Many cops were injured and were entirely pushed back from the city after the National Guard failed to arrive.
