A demonstration took place on the night of October 10th to demonstrate against the police of the city and with an ultimate aim of defunding, if not abolishing, the police. Protesters dressed in black bloc as to not get targeted by police, and no major clashes occurred during the march.
Around 1000 protesters took to the streets in 3 sites across Berlin on the 1st anniversary of the Hanau Massacre, a mass shooting perpetrated by a member of the far-right who targeted shisha bars and murdered 11 people.
Dozens of protesters in Washington D.C. marched with a shield wall on the anniversary of Breonna Taylor’s murder, condemning the no-knock warrant that resulted in police opening fire into the black woman’s home and shooting her 10+ times.
Protesters in Glasgow gathered and dropped a banner in solidarity with the hunger strike of Dimitris Koufontinas, a former member of the 17N revolutionary group demanding his transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens which would give him better medical care and the ability to see visitors.
Dozens of antifascists returned to the streets of Sacramento to combat the weekly Stop the Steal rally attended by Proud Boys, marching as well in support of the Indian Farmers’ Protest solidarity event going on at the same time. Several clashes broke out, with pepper spray being used and a shield wall being formed.
