Over 600 protesters gathered in the Kreuzberg borough of Berlin in solidarity with antifascists persecuted in Pego, a municipality of Valencia in western Spain, and anarchists on trial in Rodenburg, in southwest German Bavaria. The demonstration began at Spreewaldplatz in Kreuzberg to Orianenplatz, then moving from Ohlauer Street to Reichenberger Street, where the protesters dispersed.
An uprising occurred at the Corinth refugee camp with participation from dozens of inhabitants who set fires and clashed with police after a 17-year-old Kurdish boy committed suicide after his 16-month detainment was extended on the supposed day of his release from the Greek camp.
Thousands of protesters returned to the streets for a 5th consecutive day of demonstrations demanding freedom for Pablo Hasel, a Catalan rapper imprisoned for criticizing the Spanish monarchy. Windows were smashed and barricades were burned before dozens of riot police brutally kettled and assaulted the crowd.
Over 8,500 migrants have crossed Honduras into Guatemala, with the number ever-increasing as more and more desperate and impoverished people attempt to seek a new life in the country that has imperialized the continent. Extreme violence broke out at Vado Hondo in Chiquimula, where the Guatemalan military and police were sent to attack unarmed and poor migrants trying to cross the border.
