40 protesters gathered in Portland for a Black Lives Matter march after the decision made by the DOJ to acquit the murderers of Tamir Rice, moving from Director Park to SW Jefferson Street and then dispersing without any arrests made. Windows were broken, buildings were spray-painted, and paintballs were fired.

Greek vegan anarchists in Athens gathered on New Year’s Eve to protest against speciesism and brutality on animals, by the form of mass confinement and murder for meat and other products. Demonstrators marched to Kato Patisia and Agios Nikolaos, dropping leaflets and shouting slogans in front of butchers and fishmongers. Before dispersing, a banner was dropped in the Cyprus park of Patision, after which the march ended.

Hundreds of protesters returned to the streets of Tripoli to demand an increase in living conditions and a stimulus from the Lebanese government, as a 3-week quarantine was put in place to be enforced by the army without any welfare packages provided.
