Santiago Police Attack Feminists Protesting Against Femicide in Plaza Dignidad

Protesters gathered in Santiago at Plaza Dignidad, against femicide and demanding the resignation of rightwing President Sebastian Piñera as well as amnesty for all political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising.

Attacks against the protesters immediately began, with a contingent of police present before there were even 50 demonstrators on the scene. Water cannons (No. 60) were deployed against the completely peaceful protest, with several arrests made.
