Protesters took to the streets in Vancouver, Washington, after the shooting of Kevin Peterson by police at least 5 times in the back for running away while unarmed. Within an hour of the news, 30 protesters had showed up to begin fighting with police; it would be 11 hours before Peterson Jr.’s body was taken away.
Hundreds of protesters across Lebanon gathered to protest the Central Bank’s mishandling of hyperinflation and soaring gas prices in the country. Demonstrators blocked off roads, placing barricades, and burning tires to pressure the Lebanese government to act with competence on the problem.
Hundreds to thousands of demonstrators marched in Lagos at the Tejuosho Area of Yaba, in what many call a 2nd wave of #EndSARS protests. Anarchists in Patras protested in solidarity with Dimitris Koufontinas on his 33rd day of hunger striking for transfer to the Athens Korydallos prison, marching in the Agia Sofia and Tabachana road junctions and dropping leaflets displaying the demonstrators’ demands.
