Hundreds of protesters in Volos marched against police brutality in Greece, seen recently after a college student was beaten by police in a park under the guise of enforcing coronavirus restrictions and an invasion of a university occupation by plainclothes officers which resulted in 33 arrests.

Thousands of protesters in Athens returned to the streets to demand the repealing of a law passed by the Ministry of Education which would allow police to re-enter universities for the first extended period following the student uprising and subsequent fall of the military dictatorship in Greece after 1974.
Clashes in the suburban commune of Trappes, located west of Paris, continued for a 5th night between a crowd of youths and law enforcement at the local police station, with a constant exchange of fireworks and tear gas that lasted throughout the night.
The 31 day-long strike continues at the Total-owned Grandpuits oil refinery, in which 700 jobs are threatened of being removed by Total under the excuse of fighting climate change. These company claims have been challenged by the construction of a 1500km-long pipeline in Uganda, which has been accused of being built under terrible human right conditions.
Around 400 protesters marched in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike in Patras, demanding that the Greek government immediately accept the former 17 November member’s request to be returned to his old cell at the Korydallos prison in Athens.
