Around 200 protesters in Chania took to the streets for a demonstration demanding the repeal of a law passed by the Ministry of Education in Greece which would allow police to enter universities again for the first extended period since the fall of the military dictatorship after a disastrous war and student uprising in 1973-1974.

Protesters burned barricades and blocked roads at the Mar Mikhaël Church at the Medawar district of Beirut, demanding an increase in living conditions following the Beirut explosion. The military made several arrests at the site and forcefully reopened the area after detaining those present.
An anti-American protest in Athens took place against the visit to the country by Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State, who is seen by many Greek leftists as imperialist. America has a history of intervention in the region dating back to the 1800s, and is still well despised by the populace after backing the military dictatorship that lasted between 1967-1974.
Dozens of protesters in the city of Antofagasta took to the streets on the Day of the Youth Combatant in Chile, where 2 young activist brothers were murdered by the military dictatorship in the 1980s. Police responded with brutal repression, tear-gassing residential areas as protesters responded with Molotov cocktails.
Thousands of students in Athens returned to the streets for a second consecutive day, demanding the repeal of a law proposed by the Minister of Education which would restore police to university campuses across Greece and the release of all 52 people arrested during demonstrations on the 11th. Unlike the previous day, police did not attack the protesters and the march remained peaceful throughout the day.
