Hundreds of protesters in the small rural town of Santa Marta took the streets as part of the 4th day of a general strike in Colombia demanding the end of the Tributary Reform, which would increase taxes on basic goods and services, as well as the privatization of hospitals and healthcare, reverting Colombia to the American healthcare model.
Dozens of protesters took to the streets of Antofagasta to demand the immediate release of all prisoners of the social uprising that began in 2019 as well as to demand the resignation of right-wing President Sebastian Piñera. Demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at police and burned barricades, shutting down areas of the city before later dispersing with no arrests made.

A student strike in Greece began following the opening of schools in Greece, leading to the occupation of over 700 schools over 35 cities and towns all across the country to create a national e-learning curriculum instead of teachers and students alike needing to go in person to learn and face infection and possible death.
Over 900 students gathered in Thessaloniki in a mostly spontaneous demonstration, demanding the repeal of a law that brought police back to university campuses across Greece for the first time since the fall of the military dictatorship in 1974. Despite confrontations occurring after the protesting students were blocked from entering campus, no arrests were made.
