Hundreds of protesters in Barcelona returned to the streets for a third consecutive day, demanding the release of leftist Catalan rapper Pablo Hasel, who was arrested and faces charges for insulting the Spanish monarchy. Despite a smaller turnout than the two previous days, strong clashes still occurred between youth throwing rocks and police in riot vans.
Around 1000 protesters returned to the streets for a 6th consecutive night of protests in Barcelona demanding the release of Pablo Hasel, a left-wing Catalan rapper imprisoned for criticizing the Spanish monarchy. Demonstrators clashed with police, who arrived in riot gear and made several arrests of peaceful participants attempting to distance themselves from law enforcement.
Thousands of students in Athens returned to the streets for a second consecutive day, demanding the repeal of a law proposed by the Minister of Education which would restore police to university campuses across Greece and the release of all 52 people arrested during demonstrations on the 11th. Unlike the previous day, police did not attack the protesters and the march remained peaceful throughout the day.
