Anarchists marched through the city before reclaiming the Liebig 34 squat, one of the most popular in Germany and well-known. It was evicted earlier in the month before being taken back by anarchists. Police clashed with anarchists and arrested several after kettling them, but were unable to re-evict the squat.

700 protesters in Barcelona returned to the streets for an 8th night to demand freedom for Pablo Hasel, a left-wing Catalan rapper imprisoned for criticizing the Spanish monarchy, as well as the release of all those arrested amidst demonstrations in his support. After police attempted to kettle the crowd, several protesters blocked roads with barricades and began throwing objects at police.
Around 100 students in Rethymno protested against police repression in Greek universities enabled by the passing of a law by the Ministry of Education, which allowed police to re-enter universities for the first extended period since the fall of the military dictatorship in 1974.
Hundreds of protesters marched in Innsbruck in solidarity with refugees in Europe and against the horrific human rights abuses of migrants by the EU, including the creation of the pan-European border agency Frontex and the Moria concentration camp on the Greek island of Lesbos. Police assaulted the demonstration, pepper-spraying participants in the face and making several arrests.
Dozens of protesters in Valparaíso took to the streets on International Workers’ Day as part of a national strike in Chile, placing barricades, blocking roads, and burning tires in the Playa Ancha sector.
