Dozens of protesters gathered and clashed with law enforcement at the Lo Prado police station in Santiago, following the murder of two men 2 days apart in Chile. Demonstrators surrounded the police station and burned barricades, demanding justice for Francisco Martinez and Camilo Miyaki.

Dozens of students at the Industrial University of Santander protested on and shut down a road in front of the school, demanding the reopening of the school in order to continue to pursue their diplomas in an orderly manner with health measures in place to stop as many infections as possible.
The 2020 Indonesian National Strike was organized in response to the Job Creation Law, which deregulated environmental protections and took off many workers’ rights previously protected. A 3-day strike was organized across the country, lasting from October 6-8. Hundreds were injured, but none were reported killed.

Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Pereira for a 2nd consecutive day, as part of a general strike in opposition to neoliberalism and a tax hike in Colombia which would increase taxes on basic goods and services like utility bills. Police attacked the demonstration but were repulsed by the crowd, which stood its ground.
