Demonstrators and Police Clash at Kyiv Anti-Corruption Protest

Protesters in Kyiv, Ukraine took to the streets on the 30th to protest the Constitutional Court rulings that effectively destroyed post-Euromaidan anti-corruption infrastructure, the public officials’ asset declaration system. This system allowed for public access to officials’ finances and enterprises, and its destruction has caused massive outrage in Ukraine.

Protesters gathered outside of the Constitutional Court, with police tear-gassing the crowd and chaos ensuing amid the clashes between demonstrators and riot cops. Dozens of protesters were injured by batons and tear gas, while police only suffered a few injuries.
