1492 Land Back Lane Day of Action

1492 Land Back Lane organized a planned day of direct action on the 9th of October all across so-called Canada for the self-determination of the indigenous peoples’ of the country, and the halt of pipelines and police invasions that violate the sovereignty of native land.

Ottawa

Protesters took to the streets in so-called Ottawa on unceded Algonquin territory in solidarity with all indigenous nations across “Canada” fighting for sovereignty.

Highway 16

Members of the Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en tribes were blocking Highway 16 in solidarity with the Six Nations and Mikmaq people until the RCMP arrived to clear the blockade.

Winnipeg

Indigenous land defenders and warriors from Winnipeg set up a blockade in solidarity with the 1492 Land Back Lane, are also protesting an anti-blockade bill in Manitoba.
