Dozens of protesters returned to the streets of Lebanon at various sites to decry state corruption and repression against activists demonstrating against government incompetence in handling hyperinflation and soaring gas prices.
The Anarchist Political Organization in Athens protested outside of Parliament in Syntagma Square in solidarity with former 17 November member Dimitris Koufontinas, who entered a hunger strike on the 8th of January to demand a transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens, which would enable him to see visitors and receive adequate medical care. Police arrived at the scene in riot gear, detaining and later releasing everyone.
