A coalition of health workers demonstrated against the Piñera administration in front of the National Mint in Santiago, as a part of the general strike emerging across the country. They demanded better working conditions and a higher government budget for medical services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dozens of protesters in Kansas City marched on the house of Judge Stockdale, condemning the judge’s recent violations of COVID eviction moratoriums in place, carrying out evictions during a pandemic, with one incident even resulting in a police shooting.
Protesters across Santiago took to the streets in support of prisoners of the uprising in Chile, demanding their release, as well as in opposition to the neoliberal presidency of Sebastian Piñera as he delivered a State of the Nation address at the National Congress. Police attacked the protesters, forcing them to disperse and reassemble in other areas.
DHS Police and ICE agents cracked down on an Abolish ICE protest in Portland but making dozens of mistakes in the process. Several (estimated 3) tear gas canisters went off inside a DHS agent’s backpack, and many police accidentally hit each other while opening fire on the crowd with pepper balls and rubber bullets. About 50 people attended the protest.
The Philly Tenants’ Union demonstrated against evictions on the 10th, in front of the house of the city council president, who has refused to extend the eviction moratorium in the city, opening the pathway for evictions to occur once again, which would lead to thousands going homeless in the city.
