French youth in Angers burnt cars and lit fires across the city for New Year’s, following the tradition of mass unrest every 1st of January in the country.

Protesters in Portland were first dispersed by the police after an unlawful assembly was declared, with a few protesters arrested and the demonstrators pushed down the road. A man was later seen pointing a gun at a member of the press, then exiting his car to yell ‘All Lives Matter!’ at the crowd. No one was harmed during the altercation.
Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Barranquilla, in opposition to healthcare privatization and police violence amid an ongoing general strike. Despite the demonstration remaining peaceful on the highway, police attacked, firing tear gas and injuring several participants in the crowd fleeing the chemical weapon.
Anarchists in Athens attacked the Kaisariani police station in solidarity with the Dimitris Koufontinas hunger strike, severely damaging one of the facility’s walls and destroying several motorcycles parked at the site.
Protest in Minneapolis
A protest took place in Minneapolis on the 4th of October against anti-indigenous activity by police and local fossil fuel drilling in the area. Its organizers called for a return of indigenous land to its original inhabitants, along with the abolition of police in the city, which the city council had originally promised to do but backed off from doing.
