Greek Anarchists Protest in Solidarity With Medical Workers in Athens

Greek anarchists demonstrated outside of the Evangelismos Hospital (Νοσοκομείο Ευαγγελισμός), in the Athenian neighborhood in solidarity with those struggling to contain the pandemic. Several medical workers joined them in a wildcat strike outside of the hospital, demanding housing, healthcare, and education for all.

Many criticize the Greek response to the coronavirus, as the state is currently following the Israeli quarantine plan, with 2 key differences: protests are banned, and non-essential businesses are being kept open. Current estimates state that Greece is on track to a European-style epidemic that will overflow the healthcare system in 6-7 days if more funds are not given.
