Students at the University of Piraeus in Athens occupied the campus rector’s office in protest against a law passed by the Ministry of Education, which would create a university police force in Greece for the first time since the fall of a military dictatorship in 1974 after a failed annexation of Cyprus and student uprising.

Thousands of protesters in Manizales gathered on the 4th day of demonstrations against the privatization of hospitals and the increase in taxes on basic goods and services in Colombia. Protesters knocked down the status of conservative fascist politician Gilberto Alzate Avendaño, before being attacked and tear-gassed by police, thinning out the crowd and starting clashes across the city.
Demonstrators in Santiago gathered at an office of the Independent Democratic Union, a far-right Pinochetist party in Chile, leaving graffiti and anti-fascist banners; the crowd then moved to a monument to Jaime Guzmán, the creator of Pinochet’s constitution, also leaving graffiti. A protest would later also occur in the peripheral neighborhood of La Granja in support of political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising in 2019.
Hundreds of activists from the Ende Gelände environmentalist group continued protests against the clearing of the Dannenrod forest to create an unnecessary and useless highway. Police deployed a water cannon on the forest defenders in sub-zero temperatures, causing many to leave the area in fear of getting hypothermia. Police eventually retreated from the site.
Hundreds of Panamanian workers under the SUNTRACS trade union went on strike across the country for a day of national protest demanding salary during quarantine and food for all, including minors and students. Several confrontations occurred with police, but none ultimately resulted in arrests.
