Hundreds of Trump supporters gathered at the Oregon state capitol in Salem, at the same time as the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. They began by watching videos of the riots in the capital on a projector as the events unfolded, and then listening to speakers.
Counter-protesters then arrived after Trump’s followers rejected his calls to go home, shooting left-wingers with paintballs after throwing a smoke bomb into the counterprotesters’ side. Police then went outside,
Police then arrived on-scene, attempting to separate the 2 crowds and arresting a few Proud Boys, then receiving intense criticism from Trump supporters before they dispersed.
