Thousands of protesters in Santiago took to the streets in support of prisoners of the social war during the first session of a convention tasked with drafting a new constitution for Chile. Police repressed the demonstration, leading to widespread clashes across the capital city.

Hundreds of protesters in the Chilean city of Valparaiso marched and clashed with Carabineros, demanding the immediate resignation of President Sebastian Piñera and the release and amnesty of political prisoners. Demonstrators lit barricades on the Condel road, and then were pepper-sprayed by police and eventually dispersed. Burning tires were also set as a barricade on Highway 25 in the Santa Rosa neighborhood of the city, stopping traffic for hours until Carabinero riot police arrived on the scene.
Protesters across New York dropped banners for a wide variety of reasons, including rent cancellation, a 2nd stimulus, and the freeing of all prisoners of ICE held in cages in the city’s detention facility. There was also a #NoNBKPipeline banner dropped from the top of a building, to compensate for the lack of activity that has been going on against it.
Colombian riot police brutally attacked dozens of street vendors protesting in Bogota for a stimulus in order to stay home and not have to work in unsafe conditions in a pandemic. Tear gas and rubber bullets were deployed against peaceful demonstrators, with police armed in near military gear.
Greek anarchists demonstrated outside of the Evangelismos Hospital (Νοσοκομείο Ευαγγελισμός), in the Athenian neighborhood in solidarity with those struggling to contain the pandemic. Several medical workers joined them in a wildcat strike outside of the hospital, demanding housing, healthcare, and education for all.
