Thousands of protesters returned to the streets of Senegal for a 2nd consecutive day following the arrest of a prominent opposition leader, clashing with police and the military in several areas only for security forces to defect to the side of the opposition in others. At least 4 protesters were killed, with dozens of universities and schools going on strike and traffic shut down nationally.
Dozens of antifascists gathered for a Smash Fascism protest in Olympia, the Washington state capitol, in which slightly larger amounts of and far more aggressive Proud Boys & Back the Blue supporters gathered to attack them. Brawls with both sides using pepper spray quickly broke out. Shots were fired by a Proud Boy, with a protester injured by the bullet.
