Thousands of protesters in London gathered against woman-directed hate crimes, also demonstrating in opposition to a bill proposed by the British government threatening to restrict the right to protest. Unlike the previous day, confrontations occurred but without arrests.
Hundreds of protesters in Santiago gathered for a peaceful demonstration at the Alameda, and were attacked by Carabinero riot police with water cannons and pepper spray. Members of the press as well as street medic brigades were also assaulted by the Carabineros, with many as well hit by the water cannons tainted with chemicals that cause burns.
