Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Lleida to demand the release of Catalan rapper Pablo Hasel, who was imprisoned for insulting the Spanish monarchy. Following riot police tear-gassing the demonstration, clashes began to occur between law enforcement and youth, who placed barricades and threw rocks.
