Anarchists and antifascists gathered in Madrid in remembrance of Carlos Javier Palomino, a 16-year-old anarchist stabbed to death by a neo-Nazi in 2007. Thousands marched against the fascism that lingers in Spain, leaving dozens of works of street art as they went. Antifascist football fans also organized demonstrations of their own, both in and outside of Madrid.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Ioannina to oppose a bill proposed by the Greek Education Minister that would bring police back to universities for the first time since 1975. Despite breaking the ban on demonstrations, no arrests were made and no police presence was observed.
