Riots took place in the Polish town of Lubin after a police officer murdered a young man under arrest, asphyxiating him by placing a knee on his neck. Hundreds arrived at the local police station, chanting “Murderers!” and hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails at riot police. At the end of the day, more than 50 arrests were made.
Thousands of protesters in New York City marched in solidarity with Palestine at the Israeli consulate, demanding the immediate end of US support for the Israeli Defense Forces, Israel’s military, which has been long accused of carrying out terrorist activities against the Palestinian population.

Thousands of West Papuans marched in Dogiyai against the formation of a Central Papua Province and the building of a police station by the Indonesian government, instead demanding a referendum for independence in order to unite with their blood relatives in Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.
