Demonstrators and allies across Chile commemorated the 2-year anniversary of the murder of Camilo Catrillanca, a Mapuche farmer, at the hands of Chilean police, in Temucuicui, in the area of Ercilla. Hundreds of protesters and friends marched on the site of his murder, where his tractor still lies, and condemned the lack of transparency in the Chilean government while handling his case.

Thousands of protesters returned to the streets of Bangkok in a second round of mobilizations against the monarchy of Thailand and the mishandling of the pandemic by Prime Minister Prayut, a general who took office in the 2014 military coup d’état. Despite police use of rubber bullets and tear gas, the crowd, angered by previous repression on August 7th, attacked and burned police posts.
Anarchists protested alongside striking medical workers at the Evangelismos hospital in Athens, demanding food, housing, education, and healthcare for all, a stance also approved by many doctors’ unions. Demonstrators also distributed flyers and hung a banner at the facility’s fence.
