Community members of the Villa El Alba neighborhood of Puente Alto protested against municipal incompetence from a power outage lasting over 32 hours, causing families and warehouses to have their food spoiled and many other supplies lost due to the summer rains that hit Chile.

Dozens of Turkish anarchists gathered in Kadıköy to protest on the anniversary of the 19 December massacre, better known as Operation “Return to Life”. The protesters were attacked by Turkish police, with 10 arrests made. Prisoners were protesting the government plan to transfer prisoners to American-style “F-type” cells holding 1-3 occupants, in response to which 10,000 soldiers violently occupied 48 prisons to end 2 months of hunger strikes by hundreds of political prisoners. At least 31 prisoners were murdered by the Turkish government, 8 others were disappeared, and 426 prisoners were wounded. 1005 prisoners were then caged in the F-type cells.
French youth continued clashes with police for a 4th day in the northeastern city of Tourcoing, following a law enforcement operation that resulted in the seizure of several motorcycles used for urban derbies. Demonstrators clashed with police, engaging in running battles across Tourcoing while throwing fireworks.
Greeks in the Athens suburb of Aspropyrgos clashed with police, demanding an end to class-based quarantine and segregation, with politicians and the wealthy like the Prime Minister being allowed to violate travel restrictions and other quarantine measures. Barricades were built to resist DELTA bike cops who tried to arrive on the scene, with Molotov cocktails being used to repulse government forces.
