Florists gathered in Santiago to protest the forced closure of their businesses without a stimulus and condemned the closures of “non-essential” businesses included their own while casinos and other recreational centers stayed open. The Carabineros of Chile, the national police force, proceeded to arrive at the scene with riot gear and assault the demonstrators, injuring 5.

From a small movement that had hundreds of protesters, thousands of demonstrators marched through Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, and other cities. Protesters also attacked the motorcade of a governor whose police forces had killed several unarmed and peaceful protesters.
Dozens of activists gathered at the home of Presiding Judge Dale Youngs of the 16th Circuit Court in Kansas City, following an incident in which one of his agents shot a man having a mental health crisis while being evicted. Organizers called for an immediate moratorium to be placed on eviction, so that no one more would die from being evicted or from not having shelter.

Young Panamanians protested against President Laurentino Cortizo’s decision to exclude people less than 25 years old from the “solidarity voucher”, giving people $100 per month to alleviate the COVID-19 pandemic’s financial stress. Students blockaded several roads in response to the decision, including the Balboa and Cinco De Mayo avenues. Police responded by opening fire with rubber bullets and arresting several students, taking them to a police station, and later releasing them without torturing them in any form.
