Roughly 25 protesters in Thessaloniki gathered at the Polytechnic University in solidarity with the political prisoner Dimitris Koufontinas, a former member of the revolutionary November 17 organization who entered a hunger strike demanding a transfer to an Athenian prison instead of his current high-security facility.

Around 1,500 protesters took to the streets of El Salvador’s capital, against president Nayib Bukele and his policies of militarization, constitutional violations, and adopting Bitcoin as a national currency. Police blocked off the path to the Legislative Assembly, causing confrontations but no clashes or arrests occurred.
Hundreds of students gathered at the Propylaea in Athens to protest against the planned reintroduction of police onto college campuses, as they had been banned since the Polytechnic Uprising of 1973. Police kettled the crowd in but did not otherwise assault the demonstrators, as it would further reinforce their point.
Greek anarchists in Athens gathered at RES in Athens in solidarity with the hunger strike of Dimitris Koufontinas, which began on the 8th of January to demand a transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens, which would provide adequate medical care and access to visitors.
