Protesters gathered in Concepción to demand amnesty for all political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising, marching at the Tribunals of Justice to pressure the government to halt the isolation of many prisoners, including minors, for months under the guise of the coronavirus pandemic.

Protesters in Peru have been hit by shocking brutality from government forces, with helicopters filmed throwing tear gas from above. Tear gas and live bullets have been deployed all over the Lima district, with over 3 protesters registered dead. #PeruvianLivesMatter began trending on Twitter, accumulating more than 700,000 tweets. Many do not anticipate any positive developments happening in the protests.
