Protests occurred in Philadelphia in advance of a rally that Trump will be holding to re-elect him as President of the United States, with about 300-500 protesters gathering to demonstrate against the rally occurring. The rally took place to address his plans to end police brutality in front of undecided voters.
Protesters in Antofagasta placed barricades in the region of Cachimba, burning tires to demand the resignation of Chilean President Sebastian Piñera and amnesty for all political prisoners of the 18th of October Uprising.
Around 150 protesters took to the streets of Portland’s Pearl District to demand the abolition of Immigration & Customs Enforcement, a widely hated agency in the United States due to its job of carrying out deportations. The local USCIS office was covered in graffiti, and a police car was smashed in before law enforcement arrived on the scene, arresting 2 people and attacking a journalist.
Loyalist youth in Derry rioted for another night in opposition to the North Ireland protocol, setting up customs with mainland Britain for the transport of goods, which would disrupt the Loyalist drug trade. Petrol bombs were thrown at police vehicles and wooden pallets were set on fire and used to block roads.
Hundreds of protesters marched in Columbus after the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old Black girl by police, gathering outside of the Columbus Police Department’s headquarters and marching to and back from the Ohio Statehouse, demanding the immediate prosecution of the officer responsible.
