Around 70 protesters marched in New York following a decision made by the courts not to charge the police officers responsible for the murder of Daniel Prude, a black man who suffocated and died after law enforcement put a hood over his head during a mental health crisis in March 2020.
Dozens of protesters in Elizabeth City took to the streets for an 11th day to demand justice for Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man killed by police with assault rifles. Unlike previous days, police did not directly attack the demonstration, and no arrests occurred.
Protesters rioted all across West Philadelphia after the police shooting of a mentally ill man earlier in the day, with over 30 police officers injured and 91 demonstrators arrested. Many areas in the city experienced heavy-handed clashes between protesters and riot police, with cars driving through crowds in some areas. Several police cruisers were captured and burnt.
Antifascists marched against fascism in St. Paul, the capital of Minnesota, in protest of weekly pro-Trump events occurring at the Capitol. The Proud Boys did not end up arriving, and the march against fascism ended without confrontations occurring, despite a weak standoff happening during the event.
