French anarchists in Albi threw fireworks outside of the Cantepau jail, clashing with police who threw tear gas and ended up contributing to the point of the noise demo. The abolitionists called for the release of all inmates due to COVID, as prisoners had been increasingly exposed to the virus in many countries.
Hundreds of protesters in Jalalabad took to the streets against the Taliban, marching with the Afghan national flag and replacing the Taliban flag in the city with the national tricolor. Taliban forces fired on the protest with live rounds, killing at least 3 demonstrators.
