Hundreds of protesters gathered for a 6th day of demonstrations in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center demanding justice for the police murder of Daunte Wright, an unarmed 20-year-old Black man. Police used tear gas and flashbangs, then kettling the crowd and making over 130 arrests.

About 150 protesters gathered in front of the ICE facility in Portland to demand the abolition of the agency created in 2002, whose dismantling would legally be within Biden’s direct jurisdiction. DHS & Portland Police attacked the demonstration, using incredibly toxic amounts of the possibly carcinogenic HC tear gas, and making targeted arrests of medics and press.
Greek anarchists in the Athens port neighborhood of Piraeus marched through the borough’s university campus against police. The Puerto Negro collective, who organized the march, demanded an end to police presence in neighborhoods and universities.
The RAPP (Release Aging People in Prison) campaign demonstrated outside of the governor’s office, demanding the release of Arthur Green, a 70-year-old man who has been in prison for 44 years. He is currently dying of end-stage renal failure in prison hospice, and protesters call it inhuman to keep him away from his family during his last days.
Dozens of antifascists gathered in solidarity with 4 arrested protesters from a demonstration in Innsbruck against the European border security agency Frontex, which ended in police assaulting the crowd with batons and pepper-spray.
