Demonstrators took to the streets in Times Square commemorating the latest trans woman who was murdered by 16 gunshots from the guns of police officers. Protest organizers demanded further defunding for the police than just the $1 billion that the mayor had promised to appease the protests with.
Dozens of protesters took to the streets of Elizabeth City for a 4th consecutive day, demanding justice for the police murder of Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man shot in the back of the head several times by officers with assault rifles. Roads were blocked by demonstrators in order to continue pressure to release the body cameras.
