Paraguayans Protest Corruption in Asunción After Healthcare System Collapse

Around 1000 protesters returned to the streets of Asunción for a 3rd day to demand the resignation of the president following a collapse in the healthcare system of Paraguay, with elective surgeries such as appendix removal halted altogether and medicine at a critically low supply. After gathering in front of the ex-president’s house, an avid supporter of the current government, demonstrators were tear-gassed and forced to disperse.

Dozens of Loyalist Youth in Newtownabbey Riot Against North Ireland Protocol

Dozens of Loyalist youth in Newtownabbey, north of Belfast, rioted against the creation of a customs process for goods being transported between Great Britain and North Ireland, which would disrupt the Loyalist drug trade. Cars were burned by the youth and petrol bombs were thrown at police as well, including an instance where one person set himself on fire.

Hundreds in Barcelona Clash With Police on 8th Day of Demonstrations Demanding Freedom for Pablo Hasel

700 protesters in Barcelona returned to the streets for an 8th night to demand freedom for Pablo Hasel, a left-wing Catalan rapper imprisoned for criticizing the Spanish monarchy, as well as the release of all those arrested amidst demonstrations in his support. After police attempted to kettle the crowd, several protesters blocked roads with barricades and began throwing objects at police.
