Members of the Otomi indigenous central Mexican group occupied the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples and burnt files and furniture of the building. The reason cited was that the government failed to accept their demands to end pro-corporate megaprojects in Santiago Mexquititlán.

Around 10,000 protesters in the Greek-controlled part of Nicosia took to the streets against corruption and nationalism preventing negotiations for unification of Cyprus, an island long divided between the ethnic Greek and Turkish ethnicities. Dozens of protesters gathered at a courthouse in Patras in solidarity with 9 comrades arrested during the occupation of the SW Achaia Offices, marching through the city waving a banner demanding the acceptance of N17 hunger striker Dimitris Koufontinas’ demands, including his transfer to Korydallos Prison in Athens where he can access better medical treatment and see visitors.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Thessaloniki to protest against repression, following events of police brutality nationwide against both civilians and activists in the Greek social movement. Demonstrators also expressed solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike, which remains a pressing and ongoing issue.
