Dozens of protesters gathered in front of the Jackson County Courthouse in Kansas City, shutting down its entrances in order to directly delay eviction hearings during the moratorium that will last until mid-February. Around 150 eviction hearings were delayed or cancelled for the day, in a massive victory for the KC Tenants’ Union.

Anarchists in Essen attacked 2 police stations, blowing up a police cruiser at the Rellinghausen station and vandalizing the Essen-Kettwig station with rocks and paint, in a statement against the racist and xenophobic sentiments within the police of Essen that have not gone unnoticed to the public.
Tens of thousands of protesters demonstrated across Guatemala against government corruption and a budget plan that took away from the poorest and gave to the richest of the country. Over 40 arrests occurred nationally, with hundreds more injured. Demonstrations took place in Guatemala City, Quetzaltenango, and Huehuetenango.
Anarchists and other direct action protesters gathered at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle to protect the homeless community there from being hit by a planned sweep, placing barricades and setting up food stands. An empty house was also occupied, and the city of Seattle ended up calling the sweep off.
About 60 student anarchists in Patras gathered at Georgiou Square to demand that the plan to reintroduce cops on college campuses be revoked, hanging a banner in the area. Police blocked the road to protesters, who eventually retreated after a standoff.
