Hundreds of protesters returned to the streets of Pereira for a 6th consecutive day, demanding an end to healthcare privatization and police violence amid a general strike in Colombia. Police attacked the demonstration, leading to intense clashes across the city after nightfall.

Over 8,500 migrants have crossed Honduras into Guatemala, with the number ever-increasing as more and more desperate and impoverished people attempt to seek a new life in the country that has imperialized the continent. Extreme violence broke out at Vado Hondo in Chiquimula, where the Guatemalan military and police were sent to attack unarmed and poor migrants trying to cross the border.
