Around 600 protesters marched in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike in Thessaloniki, arriving at the US consulate in honor of the hunger striker’s affiliation to the 17 November left-wing urban guerilla that frequently attacked Anglo-American targets.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in the small town of Armenia, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the privatization of hospitals/healthcare and the Tributary Reform in Colombia, which would increase taxes on basic goods and services. Police attacked a 2nd crowd which had gathered at a local toll, using tear gas to disperse the peaceful demonstration.
Protesters in Israel took to the streets across the country 170,000-strong for an 18th week in a row against Netanyahu and his corrupt record. Demonstrations were sparked due to the brutality of Israeli security forces in Palestine and the massacres against protesters that demonstrate, such as Gaza in 2019, in which over 50 people were killed.
