Hundreds of protesters gathered in Madrid at the Plaza de Callao to demand the release of Pablo Hasel, a left-wing Catalan rapper arrested in Lleida for criticizing the Bourbon royal family of Spain.
Hundreds of protesters in Minneapolis took to the streets 3 weeks after the police murder of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center, marching to the suburb’s local police station. Demonstrators put up the name of Wright on the police station’s fence and were met by little to no law enforcement presence, a notable turn from other protests in the area.
Over 100 protesters gathered in Elizabeth City on the 6th day of demonstrations demanding justice for Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man murdered by police via gunshots to the back of the head while he was still in his car.
Hundreds of Slovanian anarchists & autonomists took to the streets of Ljubljana after the eviction of the Rog autonomous factory, demanding that the state halt eviction of squats as well as of civilian homes during the pandemic. Police deployed tear gas against the demonstration and arrested several protesters, forcing the rest to disperse.
Police in the El Codito neighborhood of Usaquén in Northern Bogota opened fire at a jitney van, or unlicensed transport service, full of people, killing one minor and injuring 2 others. Later in the day, hundreds of protesters gathered outside of the local CAI police substation and were then attacked by ESMAD riot police.
