Hundreds of protesters in Girona gathered to demand the release of Pablo Hasel, a left-wing Catalan rapper arrested for insulting the monarchy in his works. Youth clashed with police in many alleyways, throwing rocks and burning barricades after law enforcement arrived to disperse the demonstration.

Police followed the protesting students into a park with small children, forcing everyone out of the area in riot gear.
